Statement of the Problem

 With the growing age of the internet and increasing trend of people using the internet for shopping and searching, internet Advertising which in recent times have being utilized by all companies due to the accessibility and wider coverage than the traditional media seems to be the most recent means for adverts. The question now is, does the internet advertisement prove to be very effective than the traditional media?  Do people buy product due to internet advertisement? What other factors influence the way people see advertisements?

1.3 General Objective

The general objective of this study was to assess  the effect of online advertising on  the consumer buying behaviour among students of federal polytechnic, Bida, Niger state.

1.3.2 Specific Objectives

  1. To identify the relationship between radio advertisement and the  consumer  buying behaviour of students in federal polytechnic, Bida.
  2. To identify the relationship between television advertisement and the consumer buying behaviour of students in federal polytechnic, Bida.
  3. To identify the relationship between internet advertisement and the consumer buying behaviour of students in federal polytechnic, Bida.

1.3 Research Questions

The following questions guided the study:

  1. What are the relationship between radio advertisement and the consumer buying behaviour?
  2. Is there a relationship between television advertisement and the consumer buying behaviour?
  3. What are the relationship between internet advertisement and the  consumer buying behaviour?
